The response to the contest has been amazing and very gratifying to the Studio. Good luck to you all, we here at Studio Kalid feel you are all winners.

We have just returned from 10 wonderful days in Amsterdam and 2 days in Paris as a working vacation. Amsterdam was amazingly wonderful and the old friends and new friends made it an indescribably beautiful time. The fashion scene in Amsterdam is so inspiring and has definitely removed Paris from it's fashion throne ! Everyone is so fashionably individual that Amsterdam has become a visual fashion feast, the fashions with the city as a backdrop feels like walking in a painting. The Dutch Designers are amazing but the way the Dutch people individualize their looks is truly awe inspiring.

If you are in Amsterdam on a Sunday you must pay a visit to The Art Market on Rembrandt Square, we met the most delightful couple that had some of the most beautiful art work we have ever seen. Anne and Rob de Klonia Lutters , were a ray of sunshine on a rainy day, they love their art work and it was very visible in their work. We must get them to exhibit here in Bahrain soon (Studio Kalid's next project) the world is a richer place because they are in it..

We must also give a shout out to 4 of the most beautiful Future Models we have ever met (Tirza) Your energy says that you will achieve all your dreams and goals. Thank you for being so wonderful and you did answer the questions and is now entered into the contest. So good luck, We smile when we speak of you as the Model Girls ! from the arc in Amsterdam .

Sweet Claudia, what can I say except that you were pure inspiration and beauty, your joy of life was so infectious and bright that it's light will take us far into the future. ( you are the person we want to design for!) Your beauty and positive energy will carry us inspirationally far into our future. You are a very beautiful woman and that suit was dynamite !!!! You Go Girl!!!!!

Amsterdam will be continued because there are so many wonderfully beautiful people we need to thank, but deadlines are a fact and definitely need to be met and we promise to get back to you because this story is not finished yet! Next installment with the next design so stay tuned...

Studio Kalid Contest Announcement

Hi fashion seekers this contest is for you !


As an introduction to Studio Kalid, we are starting a fashion contest which will be an annual or semi annual event. The contest is open to both men and women. Men will win a NovArabia original and women will have a choice of any piece from the next ready to wear collection or an original couture gown or cocktail dress, for the first place winner.


The second place winner male of female will receive an original piece from the NovArabia collection.


The third place winner will receive an original hat, or cap or tee shirt of their choice from the NovArabia collection.

The contest will run for one month and contest ending 27 May 2009, Good luck.

All entries will be collected and all correct answers will be placed in a raffle draw and the winners will be announced on this blog 1June 2009


To enter please send your answers to either studiokalid@gmail.com or novarabia@gmail.com with the heading “Hi Fashion Seekers Contest”. All entries will be excepted. All winners will be listed here to include 1st 2nd and 3rd place, so stay tuned.
